Instead of 24 ports, it has 48 ports or slots available for terminating Cat5e cables.In addition to providing a central location for terminating and organizing Cat5e Ethernet cables, this patch panel supports both unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and foiled twisted pair (FTP) cables. UTP cables are not shielded from electromagnetic interference, while FTP cables have an additional foil shielding to minimize interference from external sources.The larger number of ports allows for greater scalability and flexibility in establishing connections between various network devices.
